Job Description:<\/b><\/p>\n

Geotechnical drilling consists of drilling into the soil at a site to obtain samples of the soils and measure the density of the soils. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a strong skill set to advance quickly in their career in a growing well established small company. The employee\u2019s duties will consist of performing geotechnical test borings, supervision of a drill rig crew, other drilling operations, and equipment maintenance and repair.<\/span><\/p>\n

Job Responsibilities and Qualifications:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:<\/span><\/p>\n

\n
• Operate drilling equipment such as mud rotary wash (SPT) and auger drill rigs.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Train and direct drillers helper(s).<\/span><\/li>\n
• Driving drill rig(s) and\/or support vehicle(s) in a safe and professional manner (CDL NOT required but a plus).<\/span><\/li>\n
• Understand utility locate markings and field and locating of geotechnical boring locations.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Assist with clearing operations for geotechnical investigations.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Perform maintenance and repair of drilling equipment, drill rig(s), and support vehicle(s) which will require basic mechanical knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Keep accurate and detailed field records.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Classify soils in field and prepare field boring logs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:<\/span><\/p>\n

  \n
  • Minimum 2 years geotechnical drilling experience required.<\/u><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Clean Driving Record (Required).<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Pass a background check and drug screening (Required).<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all climates.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds multiple times per day.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Willingness to arrive at work early and on-time, and work late when necessary.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Have reliable transportation to\/from work.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Typical Work Schedule:<\/b><\/p>\n

    M<\/span><\/span>onday to Friday \u2013 7:30<\/span> a.m. to 4:30 p.m.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Salary:<\/b><\/p>\n

    Starting Pay: $24 to $32\/hour<\/p>\n
